ABOUT

Michelle Coleman-Nye MCFHP MAFHP   I have always enjoyed working in the community, meeting people and delivering quality care to the elderly

Corns & Callous

Corns and calluses are hard, thickened areas of skin that form as a consequence of rubbing, friction or pressure on the skin. Corns and calluses form on the feet and can make walking painful.

Cracked Heels

Sometimes called fissures, cracks around the heels not only look unpleasant but they can also be incredibly painful. Left untreated  they can  become gaping crevices that bleed.

Ingrowing Toenails

An ingrown toenail is a painful condition of the toe. It occurs when a sharp corner of the toenail digs into the skin at the end of or side of the toe. Aggressive pedicures and nail picking are also causes.

Fungal Nails

The infection develops slowly and causes the nail to become discoloured, thickened and distorted. Toenails are more frequently affected than the fingernails.

Athletes Foot

Athlete's foot is a rash caused by a fungus that usually appears between the toes. Athlete's foot most commonly affects the skin between the toes or on the bottom of the feet. The infection can spread around your foot and to your toenails.

Veruecua

Verrucas, sometimes called plantar warts or spelled verrucae, are warts that develop on plantar surfaces -- that is, the soles (or bottom) of the feet. Like all warts, they are harmless and may go away even without treatment, but in many cases they are too painful to ignore.
